Mr. Buis is the President of Buis & Co. which Mr. Buis founded in 1990. Mr. Buis has over 24 years of experience in the investment banking industry.

Before forming this firm, Mr. Buis was an officer with the Corporate Finance Department of Rauscher Pierce Refsnes, Inc. from 1985 to 1990. This firm was the Dallas based subsidiary of Inter-Regional Financial Group, Inc. and sister corporation to Dain Bosworth Incorporated. Prior to this position, Mr. Buis was with the Investment Banking Division of Schneider, Bernet & Hickman, a division of Thomson McKinnon Securities from 1982 to 1985.

During his investment banking career, Mr. Buis has worked on a wide variety of transactions. These include, among others, the acquisition and sale of public and private enterprises, both domestically and internationally, the public and private offerings of equity, mezzanine and debt capital, the securitization of assets, the restructuring and leveraged capitalization of corporations, the reincorporation or redomiciliation of entities and the provision of both fairness and valuation opinions to corporate clients. In recent years Mr. Buis has focused his efforts on merger and acquisition activity and the associated capital needs for such transactions.

Mr. Buis received a B.B.A. degree in Finance from Southern Methodist University and a M.B.A. degree from the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University.
