Henry S. Romaine, Jr.
Partner

Henry S. Romaine, Jr. is a founding partner of BOVARO Partners, LLC. Mr. Romaine extensive experience advising corporate clients on mergers, public and private divestitures, acquisitions and joint ventures. Mr. Romaine has also advised several large industrial and energy companies on hostile takeover defense, and served as a member of J.P. Morgan’s Fairness Opinion Committee. Since 1993, Mr. Romaine has worked on over 25 M&A transactions valued in excess of $100 billion, and has completed 14 corporate financing transactions, raising approximately $1 billion in equity and high yield debt capital for clients. Mr. Romaine also has experience working with and advising small, privately held businesses across a broad variety of industry sectors. Prior to founding BOVARO Partners, Mr. Romaine was a Vice President and senior member of J.P. Morgan’s Global Mergers & Acquisitions Group, focused primarily on the energy and industrial sectors. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Romaine was a Vice President in Schroder & Co.’s Energy Investment Banking department.

Prior to his investment banking experience, Mr. Romaine worked at large commercial banks and a private equity firm in Los Angeles, California. After earning his M.B.A. in 1991, Mr. Romaine spent six months at Security Pacific National Bank in its Corporate Finance Department, covering clients in the Midwest Region. After Bank of America purchased Security Pacific in early 1992, Mr. Romaine left with four other colleagues and formed Parker, Mulcahy & Associates, a private equity investment firm based in Los Angeles, California. During the ensuing two years, Mr. Romaine worked on originating and executing several direct equity investments on behalf of Parker Mulcahy’s investors, who included several members of the Forbes 400.

Mr. Romaine serves on the board of directors of EnerCrest, Inc. and the board of directors of ECO2 Partners, which was formed to create and monetize certified greenhouse gas emissions reductions for oil and gas companies. He also serves on the advisory board of Novasia, a full-service licensing/brand management agency and strategic consulting practice with offices in China and the United States.

Mr. Romaine received an M.B.A. in finance from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in economics from Middlebury College.
